| The Good Ski Guide’s USA editor Pietro Simonetti has reached new heights after breaking another world record. He and his team skied 28 Californian resorts in just four days, not only landing him another slot in the Guinness Book of Records, but also raising money to help two disabled athletes to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics. | ||

Pietro explains how it was done... “How do you set a world record? You squeeze every ounce of power from the rear traction van for 4 straight days, you break 3 sets of snow chains in the process, you stress the ski edges to the limit until they are about to give up, you feel the skin on your face crack and break away in the white conditions, you control the fear of the unknown and wash away the comments that this feat is impossible, you ski day and night with 30 minutes of sleep in between, you start with 8 teammates and end the feat with 4, you push everything to the extreme and when you think that you have given everything you have, you dig deeper and find some strength that you didn’t even know you possessed.
This is how you set a world record; with guts, heart and will.” | ||
