Beach Boys in Ischgl

Good vibrations and Fun, Fun, Fun are guaranteed soon at the Tirolean resort of Ischgl.

The world-renowned Beach Boys are to launch the area’s 2015-16 winter season. Now all grown up, the re-launched group are doing a Fun, Fun, Fun concert on November 28, when the resort will officially open it slopes. And a crowd of 20,000+ is expected to crowd the town square.

So early-bird skiers – as well as fans – can enjoy the slopes by day and California sounds by night – all against the glorious backdrop of the Silvretta mountain range.

Following their 2012 reunion the band has launched a new brand of rock, but won’t forget old favourites like Fun, Fun, Fun, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, I Get Around, Good Vibrations and Surfin’ USA.

The concert starts at 6pm in Ischgl’s town arena – and entry is free with a valid lift-pass. Day passes will be available for Euro 65 and for those staying in Ischgl with guest card, and two-day passes cost Euro 90.50 and three-day passes for Euro 118.

The Beach Boys join Ischgl’s Hall Of Fame concerts, joining Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Lionel Richie, Deep Purple, Elton John, Kylie Minogue and Katy Perry. The Boys step in after Supertramp cancelled due to the cancer treatment of band member Rick Davies.

Ischgl’s winter season opens two days before the concert – on Thursday 26 November – and continues right through until the beginning of May 2016. The resort boasts 238 km of piste and 45 ski lifts, and the town will now unveil their Euro 33m traffic concept under construction for two years. The new Parking Lounge car park has 600 spaces.
