AUSTRIA’S BIGGEST SKIING GETS BIGGER

Thanks to Krallerhof’s amazing expansion

Austria’s largest ski area, The Skicircus, is on a run of winning expansions. After last season and taking in neighbouring Zell am See-Kaprun’s 70km of runs to give the linked area an incredible 407 km of piste called  SkiCircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn with Zell am See-Kaprun and the new CONNECTION to Kitzsteinhorn.

Meanwhile the Altenberger family’s 5-star Krallerhof Hotel in Leogang has celebrated the arch topping-out ceremony for their massive new spa which they reckon will be like no other in Europe.

This is the regional project of the century from the Krallerhof, who used  leading Hamburg architect Hadi Teherani and local construction companies.

Krallerhof resort bosses Sepp and Gerhard Altenberger and son Philipp issued this statement: “Our new spa opens in spring and will create an architectural milestone to boost the entire Salzburg area.”

The spa boasts a 50 metre-long infinity pool in a natural lake with extensive swimming for guests in the 2,500 square-metre spa, which has several saunas and water play areas.

From the impressive sun deck to the light-flooded yoga room to the inviting lakeside café, guests will find pure relaxation and a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the overhead mountains.

Young Philipp Altenberger vowed to live up to the Krallerhof motto It's in our nature to give more, adding: ”Not only the region and its economy are happy, but nature will benefit from our 5,500 square-metre natural lake which brings dragonflies and butterflies back to our mountains.”
