La Tania

A small ski village which has easy access to neighbouring Courchevel and Méribel, La Tania grants the option of a 3 Valleys lift pass with 600km of skiing. La Tania is by far the best value of all the 3 Valleys ski resorts. It’s less than two hours’ drive from Chambéry airport and with its quiet, child-friendly atmosphere it is a popular family holiday destination.

The resort should please beginners with lots of easy runs close to home and some interesting long blue runs through the trees back to the resort. In fact the whole of La Tania’s ski area is set in amongst the trees making it probably the best place in the whole 3 Valleys to ski in bad conditions.

Experts and intermediates have some reds and the odd black to work through but for those who bomb up and down the mountain exploring the neighbouring resorts will be essential.

La Tania’s car-free, uncrowded environment is perfect for young families. Although this does not prevent it from having the odd lively bar (Ski Lodge and Chrome Bar) and all the basic amenities.  But those looking for late-night partying had best head to Courchevel and Méribel, both of which are accessible by bus.
